Streaming Services

TNTCast provides high quality and reliable Icecast and SHOUTcast hosting for Internet radio and video streaming. Our streaming services are all flat rate with no overages and are offered in two different configurations: per slot and per megabit of bandwidth.

Dedicated Slots

Per-slot streaming is ideal for stations who want to always have a specific number of dedicated slots available for users. After selecting your server type and stream bitrate, your server will be provisioned with the amount of slots you purchsed and they can be used 24/7 with no restrictions.

Dedicated Bandwidth

Per-megabit offers the benefit of buying a certain amount of bandwidth and being able to use it across multiple streams. For example, your station could have both a 128kbps high quality and 32kbps low quality stream which share your dedicated bandwidth without having to pay for 2 separate streams and slots per stream. Or you could run two entirely different channels and share your bandwidth between them. The dedicated bandwidth offering is only available for Icecast servers, which we highly recommend.

Standard Features

Features that some providers like to charge extra for, we include standard at no extra cost:

• Port 80 Streaming - Enable your users to tune in from anywhere without worrying about firewalls which may restrict access to streams on other ports.
• Native IPv6 - Be ready for the future of IPv6 now with premium IPv6 connectivity from NTT, nLayer, Hurricane Electric, and peering.
• GeoIP Locking - If you need to restrict your stream to certain countries for legal or other reasons, we can do that upon request.

Stream Formats and Bitrates

We offer both live audio and video streaming across all bitrates using the popular Icecast and SHOUTcast platforms. The stream types we support include:

• MP3 (Icecast/SHOUTcast)
• Ogg Vorbis (Icecast)
• aacPlus (Icecast/SHOUTcast)
• AAC (Icecast)
• Nullsoft Streaming Video (NSV) (Icecast/SHOUTcast)
